 \huge{\sf{\underline{Question:}}}

The perimeter of a field is 300 m and it's length is 100 m . Find it's breadth and area.

 \huge{\sf{\underline{Solution:}}}

Using the formulae:

 \underline{\fbox{Breadth = P/2 - L}}

 \underline{\fbox{Area = L × B}}

First, let's find the breadth:-

 \implies{\frac{300}{2} - 100}

 \implies{150 - 100}

 \bold{\implies{50m}}

Now, finding the area:-

 \implies{100 × 50}

 \bf{\red{\implies{5000 m^{2}}}}

Given :-

  • Perimeter of a field = 300 m
  • Length of field = 100m

To Find :-

  • Breadth and area.

Solution :-

  • Let breadth of the field be x m.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B)

➠ 300m = 2(100 + x)

➠ 300m = 200 + 2x

➠ 300 - 200 = 2x

➠ 100 = 2x

➠ x = 100/2

➠ x = 50 m

Hence,

  • Breadth of field is 50m

Now,

Area of rectangle = L × B

➠ Area = 100 × 50

➠ Area = 5000 m²

Hence,

  • Area of field is 5000 m²
