The perimeter of a garden is 270 meter and the width is 4/5 of the length of the garden. Find the dimensions of the garden.

Let the length be x

then the width be 4x/5

perimeter of the garden = 2 ( L + B )

270m = 2 ( x + 4x/5 )

270m = 2 ( 9x/5)

270m = 18x/5

18x = 270m * 5

x = 75m

length = x = 75m

width = 4x/5 = 60m
