Given : perimeter of a parallelogram circumscribing a circle is 28cm .

To Find : the sides of the parallelogram

Solution:

Any Quadrilateral Circumscribing a circle

Sum of opposite sides is equal

Opposite sides of parallelogram are equal

Let say Parallelogram is ABCD

AB = CD    Opposite sides of parallelogram

BC = DA   Opposite sides of parallelogram

AB + CD  =  BC + DA   ( as it  Circumscribe a circle)

AB + BC + CD + DA  =  28 cm

=> (AB + CD) + (BC + DA) = 28 cm

=>  (AB + CD) +  (AB + CD) = 28 cm

=> 2(AB + CD) = 28 cm

AB + CD = 14 cm

AB =CD

=> AB = CD = 7 cm

Similarly

BC = DA = 7 cm

the sides of the parallelogram are 7 cm  each
