The perimeter of a parallelogram is 120cm. If one of its side is longer than the other side by 10cm, find the length each sides.
Answers
- Perimeter of parallelogram = 120cm
- One of the side of longer than other side by 10cm
- All the sides of parallelogram
- Opposite sides are equal.
- Opposite sides are parallel.
- Opposite angles are equal.
- Adjecent angles are supplementary.
Let breadth be 'x' cm ,
Length will be 'x+10'cm .
★ Perimeter of parallelogram
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ = 2( length + breadth )
⇒ 120 = 2 ( x + x + 10 )
⇒ 120/2 = 2x + 10
⇒ 60 = 2x + 10
⇒ 50 = 2x
Breadth = x = 25cm
Length = x + 10 = 35cm
⋆⋆ Hence , length of the parallelogram is 35cm.
Verification :-
120 = 2 ( 35 + 25 )
120 = 2 ( 60 )
120 = 120 ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ(verified)
Given :
⬤ Perimeter of Parallelogram is 120 cm.
⬤ One of it's Side is longer than Other Side by 10 cm.
To Find :
⬤ Length ot Each Side of Parallelogram .
Solution :
- Let One Side of Parallelogram be x .
As Given , One of it's Side is Longer than the other Side by 10 cm . Hence ,
- Let Other Side of Parallelogram be x + 10 .
As we know that , Opposite Sides of Parallelogram are Equal . So ,
4x + 20 = 120
4x = 120 - 20
4x = 100
x = 100/4
x = 25
Therefore , The Value of x is 25 .
Hence ,
One Side of Parallelogram = x
= 25
Other Side of Parallelogram = x + 10
= 25 + 10
= 35
Therefore , The Length of One Side of Parallelogram is 25 and Other Side of Parallelogram is 35 .
Check :
25 + (25 + 10) + 25 + (25 + 10) = 120
120 = 120
