Let the shortest side be x
and longer side be x+10.
Perimeter of a parallelogram =2×(side a+side b)
140cm=2×(x+x+10)
140/2=2x+10
70=2x+10
70-10=2x
60=2x
60/2=x
x=30
Shortest side=x=30 cm
Longest side=x+10=30+10=40cm
