2x+2 (x+20)=140
=>2x+2x+40=140
=>4x+40=140
=>4x=100
=>x=25
So length of the sides of the parallelogram are 25 cm,45 cm,25 cm and 45 cm respectively.

Let the one equal sides of a parallelogram be xcm

& other equal sides be (x+20) cm

Perimeter of a parallelogram= 140

x+x+x+20+x+20=140

4x+40=140

. '. 4x=140-40

4x=100

. '. x=100/4

x=25cm

Two equal sides will be 25cm

& other two equal sides = x+20

=25+20

= 45cm
