Answer:

The shorter side measures 3.5 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of the parallelogram = 25 cm.

The longest side is = 8 cm.

Now consider a paralellogram ABCD.

And the sides are AB, BC, CD, DA.

Then the side AB||CD and BC||DA and are of equal length.

Therefore, AB + BC = Perimeter/2

=> 8+BC =25/2

=> 8+BC = 12.5

=>BC =12.5 - 8

=>BC =4.5

Ans:-The shortest side of the Paralellogram is 4.5cm.

Given :

The perimeter of parallelogram = 25 cm

The measure of longer side = 8 cm

To find :

The measure of shorter side = ?

Formula :

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b)

Solution :

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b) { bcz opposite side of llgm are equal)

25 = 2 ( 8 + b)

25 = 16 + 2b

25 - 16 = 2b

9 = 2b

 \frac{9}{2}  = b

b = 4.5 cm

Therefore ,,,, the measure of shorter side is 4.5 cm
