Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

The perimeter of a parallelogram is 280cm .if a pair of adjacent sides are in the ratio 3:4.

To find :-

Find the lengthof all its sides ?

Solution :-

Given that

The ratio of pair of adjacent sides in a Parallelogram = 3:4

Let they be 3X cm and 4X cm

We know that

Perimeter of a Parallelogram = 2(a+b) units

a and b are the adjacent sides

=> 2(3X+4X) cm

=>2(7X) cm

=> 14X cm

Perimeter of the Parallelogram = 14X cm

Given that

The perimeter of a parallelogram = 280cm

=> 14X = 280

=> X = 280/14

=> X = 20 cm

Now,

3X = 3(20)=60 cm

4X=4(20)=80 cm

The two pairs of opposite sides are parallel and equal in a Parallelogram.

So ,the sides are 60 cm , 80 cm , 60cm ,80 cm

Answer:-

The lengths of all sides of the Parallelogram are

60 cm , 80 cm , 60cm ,80 cm

Check:-

The adajacent sides = 60 cm and 80 cm

Their ratio = 60:80 = 3:4

The Perimeter = 2(60+80)=2(140)=280cm

Verified the given relations in the given problem

Used formulae:-

  • The pair of Opposite sides are parallel and equal in a Parallelogram.

  • The perimeter of a Parallelogram = 2(a+b) units

Where , a and b are the adajacent sides
