the perimeter of a parallelogram is 36 CM. if the two adjacent sides are in the ratio 5: 4 ,find the dimensions of the parallelogram.​

Let the side be x,then

Two sides = 4x and 5x

Formula for finding perimeter of parallelogram = 2(length + breadth)

or 2(4x + 5x) = 36

or 2 × 9x = 36

or 18x = 36

or x = 36÷ 18

or x = 2

Therfore 4x = 4 × 2 = 8 cm

5x = 5 × 2 = 10 cm
