In a parallelogram opposite sides are equal and parallel.

So, here one of its side is 8 cm then another side is also 8 cm.

As, parallelogram is a four-sided figure then there are two sides which we have to find out which are opposite and equal to each other.

Let the larger side be 'x', another larger side will also be  'x'.

Perimeter = Sum of all sides

⇒36 = 8 + 8 + x + x

⇒36 = 16 + 2x

⇒2x = 36 - 16

⇒x = 20 / 2

⇒x = 10.

∴Length of larger side is 10 cm.
