Given :-

The perimeter = 64m

length of one side = 20m

To Find :-

The length of other side.

Solution :-

We know that,

P = 2(a + b)

In which, P = Perimeter, a = length of 1 side (base) & b = length of 2nd side

On inserting the values in the formula

We get ,

P = 2× (20 + b)

But also given that P = 64m

Therefore,

According to question,

{\sf{\implies\: 64\: =\: 2\: \times\: (20\: +\: b)}}

{\sf{\implies\: {\dfrac{64}{2}}\: =\: 20\: +\: b}}

{\sf{\implies\: 20\: +\: b\: =\: 32}}

{\sf{\implies\: b\: =\: 32\: -\: 20}}

{\sf{\implies\: b\: =\: 12}}

Therefore, length of other side is 12m
