A parallelogram has 4 sides, where 2 opposite sides are equal and parallel.

If one of the side is 16cm, then its opposite side is also 16cm.

Then the other two sides can be assumed as b

Perimeter =

P=2(a+b)

72 = 2 ( 16 + b )

72 = 2(16) + 2(b)

72 = 32 + 2b

2b = 72 - 32

2b = 40

b = 40/2

b = 20

the measure of the other side is 20.
