the perimeter of a parallelogram is 88 cm and one of a its ajacent side is longer than the other by 10 cm. find the length of each side

let the other side be'x'
then the adjacent side will be 10+x
perimeter of parallelogram= 88cm
atq
perimeter of parallelogram= sum of all sides
88cm= x+x+x+10+x+10
88cm=4x+20
88-20cm=4x
68cm=4x
x=68/4
x=17

therefore, the two parallel sides=17cm
and the other two parallel sides=17+10cm=27cm
