Explanation:

given

perimeter = 240m

length 40m more then breath

calculation

let length of the park X meter

then breath = X-30 meter

perimeter = 2(length + breath)

=2 ( X +X-30)

= 2( 2X-30)

= 4X - 60 meter

we know perimeter = 240m

so 4X-60= 240

or. 4x= 300

or X = 75 meter

length of the park is = 75 meter

and breath is = X-30 = 75-30 = 45meter

Given :

⬤ Perimeter of Park is 240 m .

⬤ Length ot Park is 40 m more than its Breadth .

To Find :

⬤ Length and Breadth of Rectangle .

Formula Used :

\bf[\:{Perimeter \: of \: Rectangle = 2(l+b)}\:]

Solution :

Let :

  • Breadth of Rectangular Park be x .
  • Length of Rectangular Park be x + 40 .

According to the Formula :-

240 = 2(l + b)

240 = 2 (x + 40 + x)

240 = 2 (2x + 40)

240 = 4x + 80

240 - 80 = 4x

160 = 4x

160/4 = x

40 = x

Therefore , The Value of x is 40 .

Hence ,

Breadth of Park = x

= 40

Length of Park = x + 40

= 40 + 40

= 80

Therefore , Length of Park is 80 m and Breadth of Park is 40 m.

Check :

240 = 2(80 + 40)

240 = 160 + 80

240 = 240

Hence Checked .
