Hope u like my process
=====================
=> Let the length (l) be x cm

=> Breadth = Width =b
 =    \underline{\blue{\frac{x}{3}  + 2 \:  \:  \: cm}}
=> Perimeter = 2(l+ b) cm = 52 cm

According to the problem.

 =  > 2(l + b) = 52 \\  \\  =  >  \blue{2(x +  \frac{x}{3} + 2) } =  \blue{52} \\  \\  =  >  \blue{x +  \frac{x}{3}  + 2} =   \blue{\frac{52}{2} } = \blue{ 26} \\  \\  =  >   \blue{\frac{4x}{3}}  = \blue{ 26 - 2} =  \blue{24} \\  \\  =  >  \boxed{ \bf \: x =    \blue{\frac{24 \times 3}{4}}  =   \underline{\green{18 \:  \: cm}}}

Thus the length is 18 cm

Breadth or width = 18/3 + 2 = 6 +2 =8cm
