Perimeter of rectangle :

2 (l + w) = 96 metres

length = 3 * width or l = 3w

rewrite :

2 (3w + w) = 96

8w = 96, w = 12

l = 3w = 3*12 = 36

width : 12 metres

length : 36 metres
