Step-by-step explanation:

Hi,

At first we know that the total perimeter of both the figures are same but square's one is not provided therefore let us calculate the total perimeter of the rectangle....

Perimeter of rectangle=2×[length+breadth]

=2×[35+25]

=2×60

=120cm

Now we know that perimeter of the square as well as the rectangle is 120 cm....next we have to find the sides of the square and then we can find the area of the rectangle as well as of the square,....

we know that a square has 4 sises...therefore....

120÷4=30cm

let us find the area next....

area of square=side×side

                        =30×30

=900 cm square....is the area of the square...

area of the rectangle=length×breadth

=25×35

=875 cm square

Now let us compare each other.....

square's area=900   ≥     rectangle's area=875

900-875=25

Thus square is having larger area by 25 cm square...

Hiii, mate I will clear your doubt easily first of all try to find out something by your given data i.e. given is PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE = PERIMETER OF SQUARE.
2(l+b) = 4 × side
(35+25) = 2 × side
60/2 = side
side = 30
Than we will just move to the find data. so,
AREA OF RECTANGLE = L × B
= 35 × 25
= 875 cm2
AREA OF SQUARE = (side)2
= (30)2
= 900 cm2
As, Finding the area of both square & rectangle the difference between their area is 900-875= 25 cm2.
