The perimeter of a rectangle and a square is the same if the side of a square is 14cm and the length of the rectangle is17cm find the breadth the rectangle

We have given that,

Perimeter of the square = perimeter of the rectangle

Let L and B are the length and breadth of rectangle

⇒4×sides=2×(length+breadth)

⇒4×15 cm=2×(18 cm+B)

⇒60 cm=2×(18 cm+B)

⇒B=(30−18)cm=12 cm

Area of the rectangular block

⇒length×breadth=(18×12)cm

=216 cm
