The perimeter of a rectangle and square are same. If the length and breadth
of the rectangle are 25 cm and 17 cm respectively, which figure has greater
area and how much?

Answer:

here,2(l+b)=4a

2(25+17)=4a

2*42=4a

84=4a

a=84/4

a=21

now,area of rectangle=l*b

=25*17

=425sq units

and area of square=a²

=(21)²

=441sq units

so area of square is greater than of rectangle by

(441-425)=16sq unit
