To find the breadth of rectangle

Perimeter of a rectangle = 100 m

Length = 35 m

Breadth = 100 - 35

Breadth = 65

To find the area of rectangle

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

= 65 × 35

= 2275 m²

Answer :

  • Breadth of rectangle = 15m
  • Area of rectangle = 525m

Given :

  • Perimeter of rectangle is 100m
  • Length of rectangle is 35m

To find :

  • Breadth of rectangle
  • Area of rectangle

Solution :

  • Let the breadth of rectangle be x

As we know that,

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + h)

Where, l is length 35m , b is breadth and perimeter is 100m

》Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

》100 = 2(35 + x)

》(35 + x) = 100/2

》35 + x = 50

》x = 50 - 35

》x = 15m

Hence , Breadth of rectangle is 15m

Area of rectangle :

As we know that,

  • Area of rectangle = length × breadth

》35 × 15

》525m

Hence,

  • Breadth of rectangle = 15m
  • Area of rectangle = 525m
