Question -:

The perimeter of a rectangle is 110 m and its length is 35 m. Find the breadth.

\huge\bold{\mathfrak{\purple{A{\pink {n {\green {s{\blue{w{\red{e {\orange {r}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Let the breadth be b.

Length of the triangle = 35 m.

Perimeter of the triangle = 110 m.

Formula -: 2 (l + b) = Perimeter.

Therefore,

2 (35 m + b) = 110 m

70 m + 2b = 110 m

2b = 110 m - 70 m

2b = 40 m

b =  \frac{40}{2}

b = 20 m

Verification -:

Putting 20 in place of b, we get -:

2 (35 m + 20 m) = 110 m (Perimeter)

70 m + 40 m = 110 m

110 m = 110 m.

Since b = 20 m satisfies the equation, thus b = 20 m.

Hence verified.

Hope it helps! :)
