Answer:

We know

Perimeter of a Rectangle=2(l+b)

that is

2(l+b)=120

2(40+b)=120

80+2b=120

2b=120-80

2b=40

b=40/2

b=20m

therefore the breadth is 20m

And we know

Area of a rectangle=l×b

Area=40×20

=800m²

hope it helps

Answer:

800m²

Step-by-step explanation:

  • l = 40m
  • b = x meter
  • p = 2(l+b)
  • 120m = 2× (40+ x)
  • x = (120/2)-40
  • = 60 - 40
  • = 20m
  • Area = lb
  • = 40×20
  • = 800 m²
