Solution:

perimeter = 2 ( l + b)

120 = 2(40 + b) \\  \frac{120}{2}  = 40 + b \\ 60 = 40 + b \\ 60 - 40 = b \\ 20 = b

Area = l × b

  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: = 40 \times 20 \\  = 800 {m}^{2}
