As per data given in the question,

We have to find the width of the rectangle.

From the data,

We have,

Perimeter = 128 cm

Length = 47 cm

As we know that,

P = 2(L+B)

Let the width of the rectangle = x cm

So, from above,

128 = 2(47+x)\\=> 128 = 94+2x\\=> 2x = 34\\=> x = Width = \frac{34}{2} = 17\:cm

Hence, width of the triangle will be 17 cm.

From the given question the correct answer is:

the width of the rectangle is 17cm.

Given:

Perimeter of rectangle=128cm

lenghth =47

To find:

Width

Concept Used:

Perimeter of rectangle=2(lenght+width)

Solution;

From the given data,

Perimeter = 128 cm

Length = 47 cm

We have to find  the width of the rectangle.

we know that,

Perimeter of rectangle=2(lenght+width)

let, the width will be x.

so, we put the values in the formula.

128cm=2(47+x)

128/2=47+x

64=47+x

64-47=x

x=17

x=width=17cm

hence, the width of the rectangle is 17cm.
