given

perimeter of rectangle=13 cm

length=?

breadth=23/4 cm

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

13=2(l+23/4)

13/2=l+23/4

13/2-23/4=l

l=(26-23)/4

l=3/4

hence length is 3/4

area of rectangle=l×b

3/4×23/4

69/16

hence area of rectangle is 69/16

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of rectangle: 13

width of rectangle: 2¾ cm

To find :

The area of rectangle

solution

first, we should find the value of length of the rectangle..

Length of rectangle:

=> perimeter (rectangle) = 2 (Length+ breadth)

=> 13=> 2 ( L + 2/3/4 )

=> 13 => 2 (L + 11/4)

=> 13 => 2 (4L+ 11 / 4)

=> 13 => ( 8L + 22/4)

=> 8 L + 22/ 4 = 13

=> 8 L + 22 = 13×4

=> 8 L + 22 =52.

=> 8 L = 52-22

=> 8 L = 30

=> L = 30/8

=> L = 15/4

=> 3by 3 /4

Now we can find the area of the rectangle...

Area of rectangle :

=> AREA (rectangle) =( length × breadth )

=> 3 by 3/4 × 3 by 2/4

=> 15/4 × 11/4

=> 165/16 = 5 by 10/16

hence, the area of rectangle is 10 5/16 cm
