Answer:-

  • length of the rectangle is 4.5 cm.

Given:

  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 13 cm
  • its width is 2 cm.

To find:

  • Its length

\qquad\qquad\underline{\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad}

Understanding concept

  • Here we have to find out the length of the rectangle so firstly we will assume that the length of the rectangle is Y cm. after assuming we will use the simple formula ( Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 [ W + H ] ) where w is width of the rectangle and H is length of the rectangle.

According to the question:-

Let the length be Y cm.

  • Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 [ W + H ]
  • 13 cm = 2 [ 2 + Y ]
  • 13/2 = 2  + Y
  • 6.5 = 2 + Y
  • 6.5 - 2 = Y
  • 4.5 cm = Y

Hence the length of the rectangle is 4.5 cm.
