The perimeter of a rectangle is 130 cm. If the breadth
of the rectangle is 30cm, find its length. Also find the
area of the rectangle.

Breadth = 30 cm

Perimeter = 2b+2l = 60 + 2l = 130 sq.cm

l = 130-60/2 = 35 cm

Perimeter = 130

2 ( l + b ) = 130

l + b = 130/2

l + 30 = 65

l = 65 - 30 = 35

Now ,

Area of rect. = L × B

= 30 × 35

= 1050 sq. cm

Hence , Length = 35 cm

Area = 1050 sq. cm
