Hey...

Perimeter = 130cm

Breadth = 30cm

So, 2(l+b) = 130

2(l+30) = 130

2l = 130-60

2l = 70

l = 35

Length = 35cm

Area = l×b

= 35×30

=1050 cm²

Hope this would help you.

Given:

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 130 cm
  • Breadth of the rectangle = 30 cm

To find:

  • Length of the rectangle.
  • Area of the rectangle.

Solution:

We know that,

\boxed {\mathfrak {\red {Perimeter\ of\ rectangle = 2(l+b)}}}

Let the length be 'l'.

Substitute the values in the formula,

130 = 2(l+30)

130 = 2l + 60

130 - 60 = 2l

70 = 2l

\sf \dfrac {70}{2} = l

\boxed {\bf {\orange {35\ cm = l}}}

Verification:

Substitute the value of 'l' in the equation as 35,

130 = 2(l+30)

130 = 2(35+30)

130 = 2×65

130 = 130

LHS = RHS

Hence Verified!

Length:

Length of the rectangle is 35 cm.

Area:

We know that,

\boxed {\mathfrak {\pink {Area\ of\ rectangle = l \times b}}}

Substitute the values in the formula,

Area = 35×30

\boxed {\bf {\purple {Area = 1050\ cm^{2}}}}

Area of the rectangle is 1050 cm².
