Answer:

Given :

The perimeter of a rectangle is 130cm.

The breadth of the rectangle is 30cm.

To Find :

Length of rectangle = ?

Area of the rectangle = ?

Solution :

❍ First of all we will find the length of rectangle :

Let length of rectangle be 'l' cm.

Perimeter of rectangle = 130 cm

Breadth of rectangle = 30 cm

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

→ 130 = 2(l + 30)

→ 130 = 2l + 60

→ 130 - 60 = 2l

→ 70 = 2l

→ l = 70 ÷ 2

→ l = 35 cm

Hence, the length of rectangle is 35 cm.

❍ Verification ❍

᠉ 130 = 2(l + 30)

᠉ 130 = 2(35 + 30)

᠉ 130 = 2(65)

᠉ 130 = 130

᠉ LHS = RHS

Hence Verified !

❍ Now, Let's find the area of rectangle :

➻ Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

➻ Area of rectangle = 35 × 30

➻ Area of rectangle = 1,050 cm²

Hence, the area of rectangle is 1,050 cm².
