here, p=14
let's take width,w=a-1
then,length,=a
by question,
a+a-1=14
=>a=7.5
=>w=6.5
=>l=7.5

let length be x so, breadth will be x-1
by applying the formula of perimeter of rectangle we get value of x
2(x+x-1)is equal to 14
2(2x-1) is equal to 14
4x-2 is equal to 14
4x is equal to 16
then x is equal to 4
so ,length is 4m and breadth is 3m.
so, area is equal to 4*3 is equal to 12 sq. m
