breadth = 40cm

perimeter = 2(l+b) = 140cm

= 2(x+40)=140

=2x+80=140

=2x=140-80

=2x=60

=x=60/2

=x=30cm

length = 30cm

breadth = 40cm

area = l×b

=30×40

=1200cm²
