perimeter of a rectangular is 2(l+b).

Area of the rectangle is lb.

Therefore given that width(breadth) = 5, perimeter of the rectangle is 15 and find length & area of the rectangle?

= 2(l+b) = 15

= 2(l+5) = 15

= l+5 = 15/2

= l = 15/2-5/1

= l = 15-10

2

Therefore length (l) = 5/2 = 2.5.

Area of the rectangle = lb

= 2.5×5 = 12.5 cm^2.

Verified :- 2(l+b) = 15

2 (2.5+5) = 15

2(7.5) = 15

15 = 15

Therefore L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence proved .

God knows best.
