The perimeter of a rectangle is 16 inches. The equation that represents the perimeter of the rectangle is 2l + 2w = 16, where l represents the length of the rectangle and w represents the width of the rectangle. Which value is possible for the length of the rectangle?

THE VALUES FROM 1 TO 7 ARE ALL POSSIBLE FOR LENGTH OF RECTANGLE.

( ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION )

Equation of perimeter of rectangle= 2(l + w)= 16
and we now that length and width can't be zero.


so, we put w = 1
then we get, 2l + 2×1 = 16
2l = 16 - 2
2l = 14
length, l = 7


And this is the maximum value of length
if we put value of length more than 7
then we get negative value of width which
is not possible..
