Step-by-step explanation:

as we know the perimeter of the rectangle is 2(l+b)

  1. so perimeter is 17 cm so , 17 = 2(l+b)
  2. b= 33/4 cm. now put the value of b in above equation.
  3. by putting the value we get 17/2 = 33/4 + l   (here l is length).
  4. so, 17/2-33/4 = length of rectangle.
  5. by solving this we get (34-33) / 4 = length of rectangle.

length of rectangle is (1/4) cm or it can be written as (0.25 cm).

so the length of rectangle is 0.25 cm or it can be written as (1/4) cm .
