Answer:

Perimeter=18cm

length =twice of breadth 2x

breadth = x

Perimiter of reactangle - 2(l+b)

2(x+2x)

2×3x

6x= 18

x=18/6

x=2

2x=2×2=4

L is 4cm

B is 2cm

hope it will help u

Given:

  • Perimeter of the triangle = 18cm.
  • The length is twice the breadth.

To find:

  • The length and breadth of the rectangle.

Solution:

 ✩ We know that the perimeter of a rectangle is two times the sum of the length and breadth, or 2(length + breadth).

 ✩ In the given question, the breadth is to be taken as x cm and the length is 2x or the twice of x cm.

Therefore, the following equation is formed: 2(2x + x) = 18 cm.

To find the value of x, we solve the equation:-

  • 4x + 2x = 18cm (distributive property over multiplication)
  • 6x = 18 cm
  • x = 18/6 cm (transposing 6 to the RHS)
  • x = 3 cm

Hence the measure of the breadth of the rectangle is 3 cm and the measure of the length of the triangle is 6 cm.
