Step-by-step explanation:

p= 2(l+b)

180= 2*(l+55)

180/2-55= l

90-55 =l

35=l

area l*b

35*55

1925

Given :-

  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 180cm.

  • The breadth of a rectangle = 55cm.

To find :-

  • The lenght and area of given rectangle.

Solution :-

  • perimeter of a rectangle = 180cm

Let the length be x

By the question

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

➡ 180 cm = 2 ( l + 55 cm )

➡ 180/2 cm = l + 55 cm

➡ 90 cm = l + 55 cm

➡ 90 cm - 55 cm = l

➡ 35 cm = l

➡ l = 35 cm

∴ The length of given rectangle is 35cm

Now,

Area of a rectangle is = l × b

A = ( 35 × 55) sq.cm

A = 1925 sq.cm

Hence, area of a rectangle = 1925 sq.cm
