Answer :-

\large{\underline{\boxed{\sf Length \: = 75cm \: ; Breadth \: = 25cm}}}

Explanation :-

Given :

  • Perimeter of a rectangle - 200 cm
  • Length = Three times the breadth

To find :

The length and breadth of the rectangle

Solution :

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x

and the length be 3x

We know that,

\longrightarrow Perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

According to question,

 =  > 2(x + 3x) = 200

 =  > 2 \times 4x = 200

 =  > 8x = 200

 =  > x =  \dfrac{200}{8}

 =  > x = 25

\thereforeThe breadth of the rectangle is 25 cm

And the Length => 3 × 25 = 75 cm

Hence, the length and breadth of the rectangle is 75 cm and 25 cm respectively

Solution :

Suppose The breadth of the Rectangle = X

The length of The Rectangle = 3x

Formula of perimeter :

2(Length + breadth )

Find the breadth of Rectangle :

2(X + 3x) = 200

2 × 4x = 200

8x = 200. = 25

8

X= 25

The breadth of Rectangle = 25

Find the length of Rectangle :

=3 × 25 = 75 cm

So ,

The length of Rectangle = 25 cm

&

The breadth of Rectangle = 75 cm .

Thanks .
