Answer :-

The area of rectangle is 2244m².

Step-by-step explanation:

To Find :-

  • The area of rectangle.

Solution

Given that,

  • The perimeter of rectangle = 206m
  • The length is 33m more that it's width.

Let us assume the length and breadth of rectangle as (x + 33) and (x) respectively.

We know,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth),

First, finding the width of rectangle :-

2 (length + breadth) = Perimeter

2 (x + 33 + x) = 206

2 (2x + 33) = 206

2x + 33 = 206/2

2x + 33 = 103

2x = 103 - 33

2x = 70

x = 70/2

x = 35

The value of x is 35, ∴ The length and breadth is :-

  • Length = (x + 33) = (35 + 33) = 68m
  • Breadth = (x) = 33m

Now, According the question,

  • The area of rectangle :-

We know,

Area of rectangle = length × breadth,

68m × 33m

2244m²

Hence,

The area of rectangle is 2244m².
