Let breadth of rectangle be x,
then perimeter of rectangle = 2(14 +x)
218 = 2(14 + x) \\ 218 = 28 + 2x \\ 218 - 28 = 2x \\ 198 \div 2 = x \\ 99 = x
When breadth = 99 cm,
then Area of rectangle = l × b
99 \times 14 \\ = 1386 \: cm {}^{2}
Hope it helps. Please Mark "BRAINLIEST" if it does.

Let the breath of rectangle be x.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b) = 218 cm

Length = 14 cm

Thus,

2(14+x) = 218 cm

28+2 x = 218 cm

2 x = 218-28

2 x = 190 cm

x = 190/2

x = 95 cm

So the breath = 95 cm

Area of rectangle = (L×b)

= (28×95)

= 2660 cm∧2
