Answer:

let the breath be x

230=2(70+x)

230=70+x

2

115-70=x

x=45

breath=45cm

area=l×b

=70×45

=3150cm²

To find :

  • Breadth of rectangle
  • area of rectangle

Solution :

We know that,

perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+B)

★putting the given values,

\implies 230 = 2(70+B)

\implies 70 + B = \cancel{\dfrac{230}{2}}

\implies 70 + B = 115

\implies B = 115 - 70

\implies B = 45 cm

\large{\boxed{\pink{\sf{\therefore\:Breadth\:of\:rectangle=45\:cm}}}}

\rule{200}2

Now, area of rectangle = L × B

\implies 70 × 45

\implies 3150 cm²

\large{\boxed{\pink{\sf{\therefore\:Area\:of\:rectangle=3150\:cm^2}}}}

\rule{200}2
