breadth be y

1) 2(x+y)=240

2) x+y=120

3) y=120-x

4) Now x-10%x=9x/10

5) y+20%y=12y/10

6) 2(9x/10+12y/10)=240

7) 9x+12y=1200

8) Now 9x+12(120-x)=1200..... using 3)

9) 9x+1440-12x=1200

10) -3x=-240

11)x=80

So length is 80cm

Breadth is 40cm
