The perimeter of a rectangle is 24cm and its length is 4cm more than the breadth. Find its length and breadth?

Given that ,

Breadth of rectangle = 4 cm.

Perimeter  of rectangle =24 cm.

Let length of rectangle = y cm.

putting the values of perimeter and Breadth in (1)

24=×(y+4)

⇒24=2y+8

⇒2y=24−8

⇒2y=16

⇒y=16/2

⇒y=8.

Therefore, the length of side rectangle is 8 cm.
