Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter Of Rectangle= 28 Cm

2(l+b)= 28 Cm

l+b= 14Cm

=> here given

l=(2x+2) Cm

b= x cm

So,

2x+2+x=14

3x= 12

x=4 cm

Length Of Rectangle = 2x+2 =8+2= 10 Cm

Given :

  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 28 cm.
  • Length of rectangle is 2 cm more than double of its breadth.

To Find :

  • Length of the rectangle.

Solution :

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x cm.

\bold{\underline{\underline{\sf{As\:per\:the\:question:}}}}

Length = 2x + 2 cm

We have Perimeter = 28 cm.

Formula :

\bold{\large{\boxed{\red{\tt{Perimeter\:=\:2\:(l\:+\:b)}}}}}

Block in the data,

\mathtt{28\:=\:2\:(2x\:+\:2\:+\:x)}

\mathtt{28\:=\:2\:(\:3x\:+\:2)}

\mathtt{28\:=\:6x\:+\:4}

\mathtt{28\:-\:4\:=\:6x}

\mathtt{24\:=\:6x}

\mathtt{\dfrac{24}{6}\:=\:x}

\mathtt{4\:=\:x}

\bold{\large{\therefore{\sf{\underline{Breadth\:=\:x\:=\:4\:cm}}}}}

\bold{\large{\therefore{\sf{\underline{Length\:=\:2x\:+\:2\:=\:2\:\times\:4\:+\:2\:=\:8\:+\:2\:=\:10cm}}}}}
