Answer:

the breadth = x and the length =2x

perimeter = 2 (l+b)

36 = 2 ( x + 2x )

36/2 = (x+2x)

18 = 3x

18/3 = x

6 = x

The breadth is 6 cm and length will be 12 cm.

Hope it helps

Given : Perimeter of rectangle is 36 cm

To find : Length and breadth

Solution :-

Let breadth be x cm

Said that, length is twice than breadth

∴ Length = 2x

To find the length and breadth, we will use the formula of Perimeter of rectangle

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

☛ 36 = 2(2x + x)

☛ 36 = 2(3x)

☛ 36 = 6x

Dividing both the sides by 6, we get

☛ x = 6

∴ Breadth = x cm

= \large{\boxed{\boxed{\rm{6\:cm}}}}

∴ Length = 2x cm

= 2 × 6

= \large{\boxed{\boxed{\rm{12\:cm}}}}
