let the breadth be 'x' and length be '2x' (twice the breadth)

now as we know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

36 = 2(2x + x)

36 = 2(3x)

36 = 6x

Dividing both the sides by 6, we get

x = 6

∴ Breadth = 6cm

∴ Length = 2x cm

= 2 × 6=12 cm

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of rectangle = 2 (l+ b) = 36 cm

breadth = x

length = 2x

perimeter =    36 = 2 ( l +b )

                            = 2 ( 2x + x )

                            = 2 (3x)

                        36 = 6x

                         36 / 6 = x

                               6 = x

so breadth = 6 cm

     length = 2 x 6 = 12 cm
