Let the length be 3x and breadth be 2x.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

40 = 2(3x+2x)

20 = 5x

x= 4

Now,

Length = 3x = 3×4 = 12cm

but perimeter =40cm(given)

perimeter =2(l+b)

40=2(3x+2x)

40/2=5x

20=5x

x=4

now length =3x=3*4=12cm

breadth =2x=2*4=8cm
