The perimeter of a rectangle is 40 m. If its length is 4 m less than breadth, then the area of the rectangle is.

P.S=Tommorow is my final exam and by solving this you are helping me a lot,so thanks in advance may you get goodluck :)

sakshipriyano1: take breadth x and length X minus 4
sarthaksharma1pb0vzo: did that
sakshipriyano1: hmm
sarthaksharma1pb0vzo: q-3=let breath be x
perimeter=2x(l+b)
40m=2x((4-x)+x)
40m/2=(4-x)+x
20m=(4-x)+x
20-4=-x+x
16m=+x-x
sarthaksharma1pb0vzo: till here i have solved

let the bredth is x

length = 4-x

perimeter = 2(l+b)

40= 2(x+x-4)

40= 2(2x-4)

40/2 = 2x - 4

20+4= 2x

24/2= x

x=12

b=12.

l=12-4

= 8

area of rectangle = lb

= 12×8

= 96m²

please mark brainliest

Tanu060105: what
