Given:-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 40m
  • Length of rectangle = 12m

To find:-

  • Area of rectangle

Solution :-

Let b is consider as breadth of rectangle.

We know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

⇒ 40m = 2 ( 12 + b )

⇒ 40 = 24 + 2b

⇒ 2b = 40 - 24

⇒ 2b = 16

⇒ b = 16/2

⇒ b = 8m

Therefore, breadth of rectangle is 8m.

Now,

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

= 12m × 8m

= 96m²

Hence, area of rectangle is 96m².

Answer:

Given :-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 40 m
  • Length of rectangle = 12 m

To Find :-

Area of rectangle

Solution :-

Firstly let's find Breadth of rectangle

As we know that

 \fbox{Perimeter = 2(l + b)}

 \tt \: 40 = 2(12 + b)

 \tt \: 40 = 24 + 2b

 \tt \: 40 - 24 = 2b

 \tt \: 16 = 2b

 \tt \: b \:  =  \dfrac{16}{2}

 \tt \: b = 8

Now,

Let's find Area

 \boxed{ \sf \: Area = l \times b}

 \tt \: Area = 12 \times 8

 \tt \: Area = 96 \:  {m}^{2}

Hence :-

Area of rectangle is 96 m².
