To Find :

  • Length of the rectangle

Solution :

Firstly we have to change unit of perimeter in cm

→ 1 m = 100 cm

→ 40 m = 40 × 100 = 4000 cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

⇒ 4000 = 2 ( L + 800 )

⇒ 4000/2 = L + 800

⇒ 2000 = L + 800

⇒ L = 2000 - 800

⇒ L = 1200 cm

Length of rectangle = 1200 cm or 12 m
