Given perimeter = 400cm

Given ratio = 3:5

Let length be 3x and breadth be 5x.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
400 = 2(3x+5x)
400 = 2(8x)
400 = 16x
400/16 = x
25 = x

Length = 3x
= 3*25
= 75cm

Breadth = 5x
= 5*25
= 125cm

Therefore, the length of shorter side is 75cm.

Your answer is 75cm.

Perimeter pf a rectangle = (length multiplied by breadth)2

Radio of length:breadth=3:5
Therefore,
200=3x+5x
200=8x
200/8=x
25=x

Now........we can see that that side having ratio will be shorter
Hence,ratio of shorter side
=3multiplied by25
=75

Ans. The length of the shorter side will be 75 cm
